Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of BarcodeFast at barcodefast.com, including its website, its API and the codes you make with it. BarcodeFast is run by EKN Consultant Ltd ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using BarcodeFast, you agree to these terms. If you use BarcodeFast for a business, you agree to them on that business's behalf.
Your account
- You must be 18 or over, or use BarcodeFast with the permission of a business you work for.
- Give a real email address and verify it. Keep your password and API keys secret: you are responsible for what is done with your account.
- One person may have only one free account. We may close extra free accounts opened to get more free codes.
Plans, limits and payment
- Our plans, their prices and their limits are shown on the pricing page. Prices are in pounds sterling.
- Each plan allows a number of codes, bulk codes and API calls a month. Allowances reset each month and do not carry over. Codes made on the Free plan carry a BarcodeFast watermark.
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment provider Stripe, and renew automatically until you cancel. We do not see or store your card details.
- If you change to another paid plan, the price difference for the rest of the billing period is charged or credited straight away.
- If a payment fails, we will email you and Stripe will try again. If it still cannot be collected, the paid plan ends and your account moves back to the Free plan.
- We may change our prices. A new price applies from your next renewal after we have told you about it, so you can cancel first if you prefer.
Cancelling and refunds
- You can cancel a paid plan at any time from Subscription in your account. It stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan.
- If you ask within 14 days of first paying for a plan, we will refund that payment in full. Email emmanuel.nunoo@outlook.com.
- After those 14 days, payments are not refunded, including for the unused part of a period, except where the law says otherwise.
What you make with BarcodeFast
- You keep all rights in what you encode. You give us permission to store it and to make the codes, files and reports you ask for.
- You are responsible for what your codes contain and where they lead. Do not use BarcodeFast for anything unlawful, for phishing, malware, scams or spam, or to infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove such codes and suspend accounts that make them.
- A code you mark as public can be viewed by anyone with its link.
Barcode numbers and GS1
BarcodeFast draws barcodes from the numbers you give it. It does not issue barcode numbers. Retail barcodes such as EAN-13, EAN-8 and UPC-A must use numbers licensed from GS1 (or your country's GS1 office) if the products are to be sold through shops and marketplaces. Making a barcode with BarcodeFast does not register it or make it valid for retail. Always test that your codes scan correctly, at the size and on the material you will use, before you print them in quantity.
The API, webhooks and teams
- The API is for plans that include it, within that plan's limits. Do not try to get around rate limits or allowances.
- Webhooks send event details to the addresses you give us. Only add addresses you control.
- On plans with teams, the account owner is responsible for the people they invite. Team members use the owner's plan and allowance.
Our service
We work to keep BarcodeFast available and accurate, but we provide it as it is and cannot promise it will always be available or free of faults. We may change or stop features, telling you in advance where a change affects what you have paid for.
Liability
We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses such as lost profit or lost stock, or for codes that were wrong because of the content you entered or that were printed without being tested. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit. If you are a consumer, your legal rights are not affected.
Closing an account
You can stop using BarcodeFast at any time, and ask us to close your account and delete its data by emailing emmanuel.nunoo@outlook.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; where we can, we will tell you why first. Download any codes you want to keep before your account is closed.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as BarcodeFast changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed. We will email you before a change that matters to you takes effect. If you keep using BarcodeFast after that, the new terms apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts may hear any dispute. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
